Every state in one yearly table
Net and gross sales for every state or province in the country you pick, with totals at the top. States with no sales show as zero, so you also see where you are not selling. Sort any column to find your best states.
Right in Analytics, with three filters
The report sits under Analytics > Sales by State, next to Revenue and Orders, or under WooCommerce if Analytics is off. Pick a country, a year and the order statuses that should count.

Why I built Sales by State
I have spent years building WooCommerce stores and writing about them on Business Bloomer. One question kept coming back from store owners and their accountants: how much did we sell in each state?
WooCommerce never had a clean answer, so I built one: a report that is fast, matches the numbers in WooCommerce and gets out of your way. If anything does not work the way you expect, write to me. You will get a reply from me, not a ticket number.

Questions
How is this different from Pro?
The free plugin shows net and gross sales per state for a calendar year. Pro adds orders, tax, shipping, discounts and refunds, any date range, quarters and IRS periods side by side, CSV, Excel and PDF exports, and threshold alerts.
Which orders are counted?
Only orders with the statuses you tick. Completed is selected by default, and you can add any other WooCommerce status.
Do the totals match WooCommerce?
Gross sales is the order total and net sales is the order total minus tax and shipping, using the values WooCommerce stores on each order, so they reconcile with WooCommerce reporting.
How are refunds handled?
A fully refunded order has the Refunded status, so the status filter decides whether it counts. A partial refund is not deducted from the order total.
What data does it store?
It keeps one table on your site with the order ID, status, dates, country and state codes, currency and order totals. It stores no names, addresses or email addresses. Nothing is sent anywhere, and deleting the plugin removes the table.
Does it work with HPOS?
Yes. It supports High-Performance Order Storage and the Cart and Checkout blocks.
