Sales by State Report Pro for WooCommerce
See your WooCommerce sales broken down by state
Know where your customers buy, which states drive revenue, and when a state’s tax threshold gets close.

Sales tax threshold alerts for WooCommerce, in action
Watch how Pro tracks every state’s sales and orders, then warns you before you cross a sales tax threshold.

Every state in one table
Pick a country and every state or province gets its own row: orders, sales, tax, shipping, discounts and refunds for any dates. Sort, search and hide columns to find what you need.

Know before a state's tax threshold catches you
Most US states make you collect sales tax once you pass their threshold, often $100,000 in sales a year, and some also count orders, for example 200.
Set an alert on sales or orders for any state and period. You get a yellow warning at 80% and a red one at 100%, in the report and by email.
You set the numbers, so check each state's rules with your accountant.

The numbers your accountant asks for
Show quarters, months or US IRS periods side by side, with a total for every state. Then export the report as CSV, Excel or PDF, downloaded or sent by email.

Find your best states, and the next ones to target
See which states bring in the most revenue and which are growing, then point your ads, shipping offers and promotions there. It works in any country with states or provinces, from Canada to Australia.

From the founder
Why I built Sales by State
I have spent years building WooCommerce stores and writing about them on Business Bloomer. One question kept coming back from store owners and their accountants: how much did we sell in each state?
WooCommerce never had a clean answer, so I built one: a report that is fast, matches the numbers in WooCommerce and gets out of your way. If anything does not work the way you expect, write to me. You will get a reply from me, not a ticket number.

Questions
Do I need the free Sales by State plugin?
No. Pro includes everything the free plugin does. If the free plugin is active, Pro switches it off and leaves its data in place.
Will the totals match WooCommerce Analytics?
Yes. Sales, tax, shipping, discounts and refunds are worked out with the same rules as WooCommerce Analytics, so for the same dates and order statuses the totals agree.
Does it include my past orders?
Yes. Your existing orders are added in the background right after you install it, and every new order and refund is recorded as it's saved. The report stays complete even with WooCommerce Analytics switched off.
What data does it store?
Each order's country, state, city, postcode and totals. No names, email addresses or street addresses. Deleting the plugin removes its data.
Which countries does it work with?
Any country where WooCommerce has states or provinces. The IRS period view is only for the United States.
Does it tell me if I owe sales tax?
No. It shows how much you sold in each state and warns you when you get close to the numbers you set. Your accountant decides what that means for your taxes.
Can I get alerts on the number of orders, not only sales?
Yes. Some states count orders as well as sales, so you can set an alert on either one, or both for the same state.
Which address does it use?
The shipping address on each order.
Will it slow down my store?
No. The report reads its own small table instead of searching through every order, and existing orders are added in the background.
Does it work with HPOS?
Yes, with both High-Performance Order Storage and the older order storage.
